About Ichigo Kurosaki:

Ichigo Kurosaki is the main character in the "Japanese" anime series. He was born on July 15. The year of which he was born was unknown. His height is 5'8" with his weight as 134.5 Lbs. Ichigo (sometimes called "Strawberry"), is a tough 15-year-old teenager. He attempts to cultivate a detached image, and to this end keeps his eyebrows constantly furrowed and his mouth always in a scowl. However, he is revealed to be kinder and more intelligent under the surface than his appearance and attitude would suggest. Ichigo has natural orange hair, a fact that annoys many upperclassmen in his school, who constantly pick fights with him. Ichigo claims that he does not care what others think (about his hair and other subjects) and seems to enjoy fighting the bullies, often helped by Chad. Ichigo lives with his father, Isshin Kurosaki, and two sisters, Yuzu and Karin. His father runs a small medical clinic in their house and the entire family pitches in to help. Ichigo has a competitive rivalry with his father, and constantly fights with him physically, though it is in a light-hearted manner. On the outside, the Kurosaki's seem to be a fairly normal family, except for one fact. Ichigo has had an exceptional ability for much of his life: to see and communicate with ghosts. As a matter of fact, the entire Kurosaki family has some degree of spiritual power. Of the children, Ichigo has the highest amount of natural spiritual power, though Karin has a comparable degree of spiritual awareness. After Ichigo's spiritual power is unlocked, many other characters begin to develop spiritual powers as a consequence. This is because Ichigo produces an incredible amount of spiritual power (reiatsu), so much that he is unable to contain it in his body, which causes it to constantly spill out. Constant exposure to Ichigo's energy causes several of his classmates to become spiritually aware. Later on in the manga, Ichigo's father is revealed to be a captain-level shinigami in exile. This suggests that Ichigo gets his tremendous powers from his father in addition to his mother.

Ichigo Tensa Zangetsu Sword
The history of this sword goes is a very intresting one. The real name of this sword is Zanpakuto not Zengetsu. Ichigo carries his zanpakuto his back with an unusual sheath that appears as a wrapped up bandage-like cloth, that is generated by Zangetsu himself. When its time to be used in battle comes, the sheath shrinks away from the blade and hangs as a tassel at the bottom of the hilt. Zangetsu's special ability, named getsuga tensha, moon sky-piercing fang), fires concentrated energy blasts from its tip in the shape of a blue crescent moon. Kisuke Urahara forced Ichigo to perfect this ability in order to fight on a shinigami lieutenant's level. Ichigo uses this ability without knowing its name several times, but masters the technique later on when he discovers its name, getsuga tensha's stated by Zangetsu, knowing and not knowing the name of an attack makes a difference in the amount of power that it releases.Zangetsu's cloth has also been used as a weapon by Ichigo's inner hollow, whom Zangetsu summoned. He used it to swing the sword around and attack from a considerable distance; and did so continuously. Ichigo used this himself in order to destroy a massive execution ground (the stand of Sokyoku), implying that the technique can be used to temporarily focus and enhance his power. This sleek cleaver of a blade is the shikai form of Ichigo's sword. But the next level that this sword evolved to is the final form which is soon to be created.

Ichigo's sword makes its first appearance in episode 2 of the anime, and chapter 1c of the manga. It has the basics of a normal zanpakutou, that being a standard katana, but it is massive in size. The size of this zanpakutou is a result of Ichigo's inability to control his reiatsu, and thus the blade ends up being just as big as him.
Ichigo's zanpakutou appears for the first time after Ichigo takes Kuchiki Rukia's Shinigami powers, after the instantaneous severing of the attacking Hollow's arm. The size of the zanpakutou startled Rukia, who had never seen one of such size, giving reference to Ichigo's immense reiatsu.

This sword served as Ichigo's primary weapon until it was shattered by Kuchiki Byakuya, who had come to the Material World to bring Rukia back to Soul Society to recieve the death sentence for giving her Shinigami powers to a human.

Ichigo's zanpakutou's ShiKai makes its first appearance as a sword in chapter 67, and episode 20. Prior to this, Ichigo's zanpakutou revealed itself to Ichigo in a human form only Ichigo could see in manga chapter 63 and anime episode 19.

As a spiritual human form, Ichigo's zanpakutou reveals its name to Ichigo, so that he may thus call upon its ShiKai form. This human form appears as a middle-aged man with long, semi-curly, brown hair, and a large black cloak, as well as a pair of large, black sunglasses. He appears to be very wise and speaks with a deep, echoing voice.

While training with Kisuke Urahara, Ichigo calls upon the ShiKai form of his zanpakutou, revealing its name to be Zangetsu(moon cutter). The sword is still very large, though not as large as its original form. It is pointed out by Junta, one of Urahara's shopkeepers, that Zangetsu lacked both a hilt and a hand-guard. It has the appearance of a large, black cleaver, with the curve of a katana. Zangetsu has no sheath, and is usually wrapped in cloth which remains tied to the handle during use.

The final form of Ichigo's Bankai, named Tensa Bankai (Chains Of Heaven-Slicing Moon), is considered completely out of the ordinary for any zanpakto, Ichigo's final release appears to be a compression of his power, rather than a vast expansion as other final releases are. This hugely compressed power enables Ichigo to move at an incredible speed, surpassing flash steps, and gives him an agility and reflexes to match, while allowing him to use his strength to its limits. The Tensa Bankai is consists of an ordinary katana with a black blade, a handguard in the shape of the manji, which is the kanji for "ban" (full), and a short broken chain dangling as the blade's tassel and replacing the cloth from its released form.

Ichigo's BanKai, though most train for ten years, was achieved in 3 days, with the help of Yoruichi and the method created and used by Kisuke Urahara in his underground cavern in Soul Society. Ichigo fought against the human form of Zangetsu for the forementioned three days, using various swords which resembled Zangetsu.
The BanKai form of Zangetsu makes its first appearance during the fight against Kuchiki Byakuya at the end of the Soul Society arc.
Zangetsu's BanKai is unusual compared to most other BanKai. The BanKai of most zanpakutou tends to be very large, due to the massive about of reiatsu used to form it and use it. Ichigo's BanKai, Tensa Zangetsu(Heavenly Chain Moon Cutter), is a black katana of normal size. Attached to the hilt of the sword is a short black chain. Ternyata keinginan Ichigo untuk menang adalah sangat tinggi lalu berjaya mengalahkan Zangetsu berupaya berubah menjadi Arrancar dan mendapat 1st release lalu berjaya mengalahkan Espada ke6 Grimjoww. Episod yang terkini menunjukkan Ichigo telahpon mendapat 2nd release dan membunuh Espada ke4.
Ichigo dengan 1st release semasa bertarung dengan Grimjoww. Ichigo terpaksa bertarung dengan Inner Ichigo sekali lagi untuk mendapatkan 1st release ini.
